Earlier this year the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council made us look ridiculous as a country/society, by banning the song "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits. The song was banned for the use of the term "faggot". In writing the song, Mark Knopfler was trying to show/parody the ignorance of the character watching MTV, not offend homosexuals or anyone else.
